It def looks like a nice quick car. And i like the more aggressive look it has vs. slower "luxurious name" mb displays in a 350. I havent driven either one yet, just looking at them side by side.

Drive them both, but if you like a performance car at all, you'll probably end up with the 335i. I'm really digging the new M3 sedan ( I can justify it as a family car, and can fit car seats in the back ), but may go with the 335i sedan instead. It really is a pretty solid car.

I was thinking about the M3s before as well, but granted insurance is twice as much on those and the previous two door versions just did not offer enough space for what i would like to have. I have driven an M3 before and they are def a blast to drive. But i am leaning toward a 335 vs a 350, just because i do like a quicker, more responsive car.

You will not regret either ride.

And I agree with Red, the response on the ride of the 335 is much better than the C, now once up there ( Hwy speed ) the C is quite agile, but still the Bimmer will be a tad more exciting.

For those of you guys who have driven a 335. Have u driven a straight up manual or an auto with the manual paddle shift? I would think paddle shift offers the best of both worlds. Especially with the NOVA traffic. I m looking at carmax inventory and they got a manual and others that are auto with what looks like paddle shift.

we've got both here in roanoke plus a couple c classes, come take one for a spin this weekend. The manual is a blast and a very forgiving clutch at that. Personally paddle shifters don't do a thing for me and you couldnt give me a new c class but you should drive both of them to get a good feel for what you like before you start shopping.

But don't forget....350 is 15 better than 335. I'm not quite sure what the significance is but it's something to consider.

Havent seen a 350. 335 is pricy enough and has everything i would want. Although the M3 sedan is really nice but not with the price of 55-80k it carries with it. Hmmm that would be nice though.

What's a 350?

C350 vs 335i. Good catch...C also comes before i in the alphabet so it must be better. It's capitalized too. I'm starting to think the Mercedes might be a better idea....

My buddy just traded in his E55 AMG on a new 550i. Much less power in the Bimmer but he couldn't be happier with the upgrade. It is indeed a nice, big, smooth cruiser.

Oh, I'm dumb. I saw the talk about the 550, and thought that BMW may have slipped a 5.0 motor in a 3 series without me finding out about it. C comes before I in the alphabet, but B(mw) comes before M(ercedes). Now what are you going to do with your fancy alphabetic decision maker?

After looking at the C350 interior, at least the one i ve seen, it reminds me of a more or less basic Cadillac CTS type (not comparing the materials used to make it, but it does seem a bit plain and on the cheaper side). I think with everything a 335 offers, its a better all around deal. Especially a bit more hp and turbo.

I don't think that the C class materials are on par with the rest of the Mercedes line up at all. I've always thought that the C class was just a mediocre car for people who wanted to be able to say that they had a Mercedes.
