2000 DII - CDL - 245/75/16

I have a slight bend in some body panels that I can not explain. Is this a common occurence among DIIs?

On the way home from a GREAT trail run today I found a nice soft shoulder on one of our Colorado two-lane highways...

Good to hear you are OK.

Most of the dents you describe are caused by an open fuel door. The open fuel door will shift the center of gravity slightly to the passenger side causing the vehicle to roll over.

Ouch! Glad you are OK and have a sense of humor about it....and on that point...didn't anyone ever teach you to "tread lightly"? I don't see a trail there.....:)

Also, on the plus side it looks as though your new front lights stood up to the abuse beautifully!!! :p

Once again- glad you are OK.

Thank you for all of your well wishes... For the Colorado guys, we had just run Coney Flats to Middle St. Vrain and had a great day.

Rounding a corner on the Peak to Peak Highway just north of Ward Colorado I caught a sun glare with no sunglasses on and by the time I got the visor down my right tires were in the NON-shoulder soft shoulder and as I tried to correct while still in a left hand corner the truck lost its footing and began to slide into the turn.

Crossed the highway backwards and went into an embankment of small trees and started to roll. Was stopped by a barbed wire fence.

I do believe the fuel door was closed at the time. ;-)

What is your plan now? Another DII and swap your mods?

....yes, I know this just happened late yesterday, but I am sure you have already been thinking about it....

Truck actually does not look that bad. It won't look new again but I think you could get all the glass back into it. Appears that the windshield is good and all four doors will open/close. Ultimate trail rig man, and mall dings you can laugh at.

Ohh no good for the Rover...

And it does look like you had your fuel door open, and still is...
Easy fix. Duct tape and super glue! It will look like new!

But really good thing you did not hit any big rocks or trees. Trust me, the tree will always win. I know from past experience. Tree = stronger then Rover. For real your Rover has some good battle scars. And you are ok. Next time you tell the story spice it up a little. LoL

Glad your ok. Those Rovers are Beasts!

YEAHHHH, the only door that was not compressed closed was the front passenger side. The truck is not recoverable... To quote the tow truck driver after he had dragged it about 10 feet on its side... "I think your tie rod is busted!" Yeah no shit sherlock, otherwise I would drive it home! Seriously, this s a "Give me my check so I can go buy my next Disco!"

On the way back from a dinner party tonight I told my wife, "I am not sure that I will buy another LR..." She said, "If you can write a clear check buy one." I hope to see you guys soon...

Thought of the day... Get check form State Farm, Buy truck back from SF at salvage (~15% of buyout) and remove lift, lights, parts, ENGINE, etc.) and put in new truck or sell parts to you guys!

Expect Kermit the Second to appear in the near future.

Man take your stuff off that one, buy a new one. And Keep on Trukin!

It will haunt you forever if you don't get another. I went for 2 years without one after my first accident and I could not go on like that.
