Can DII driver's seats be moved to accommodate tall or short people?

After reading what others have done I went ahead and did this on my D2.
Started with 1/8 steel stock.

First I air chisled the rear track locks out.

Then I added the steel extension with small test weld.

As you can see the bracket barely slides above the actuator. I am not worried one bit about the bracket moving or getting out of alignment or damaging the actuator.

I will add a some more pics when I get this in my D2 but I am rebuilding the seat cushion and heaters at this moment.
Now I hope I can drive this rig for longer than an hour without leg cramps. Hopefully.

Nice! Thanks for the photos. That helps me a ton! I have not been able to work on my seat yet. How did that air chisel work? Was it a clean easy removal? I was pondering what and how I would remove the bump stop. I have no small cutting tools that could fit in there. I do have an air chisel thought! Are you keeping it welded?

This should be a sticky or in the how to section!

2 seconds of chisel and it popped right off. Yes keeping welded for sure no room for a bolt IMO.

Finished. Thanks for the insight on this thread. I now have about 2 inches extra leg room. Now I need a road trip.
