CD Changer problems "CD0-00" ?

Hello everyone-
I just picked up an '03 disco last weekend. I am very happy with everything... well almost everything. I can't get the 6 disk changer to work. I load the magazine up with disks, the changer cycles through, then the display on the dash (head unit) just reads "CD0-00". I have tried flipping the disks over, checking for debris in the unit... nothing. The local dealership had never heard of such a problem. Do you guys have any thoughts?

Do you have the factory DVD player? If so there is a source button on the player to switch on/off sound through the stereo speakers. Push that and wait ~60 seconds for the head unit to reconfigure to play the CD changer (CD1-6). Press again to play the DVD (CD0).
