Maybe someone can help me make sense of this.

LR3 with Locking rear and center diff, ok I understand how the rear works, and according to tech guy at dealership the front will not lock. So if the the center diff locks what exactly is it doing to help??

The only reasoning I can make of it is that in usual cases the center diff is floating or limited slip type action to front and rear axles.
So when the center and rear diff lock that means the transfer case is outputting the same power to front and rear diffs.. which then the rear will lock and the front will still be limited slip???

----OR is it just LR electronic wizardry---

the center differential sends 50% of power to each driveshaft (adn then on to the diffs), which means if you have 1 wheel with less traction (like in the air), you'll still be able to move forward, but if you have two in the air, then you'll just be spinning the wheels that don't have any traction. simple enough?

EDIT: the front will still be open.

So if the center diff is locked and send 50% to each dshaft, then how much does it send when its not locked

When I was enlisted they never taught me to salute:patriot: while standing on the seat of a motorcycle. That must have been the special forces team from the 30's.
