sorry to post it here on the disco forum but i am not getting replys on the rr rover one. anyway if anyone knows what is exactly involved in changing over the air to coil on a 93 lwb i would really appreciate it. im not changing out the shocks yet.

i know its like the disco in theory, which i have done several times...but what about the electronics? is at as simple as disconnect wiring, remove air bag, put in spring, fasten retainers at that bottom?

looking for detailed help. thanks all...

also can i drive the truck for 90 miles on the bumpstops? i need to

Yeah, 1 1/2hrs is a LOOOOOONG wait! :D

You can drive as far as you can put up with it on the bumpstops. As long as you're not loaded, and not hitting curbs @60, you shouldn't hurt anything. I'd air down the tires 5-10psi below normal, though, and take any curves or bumps REALLY easy.

If you're using a full kit, swapping coils in is fairly easy. The BA kit comes with detailed instructions.

You'll have some dash lights on, then. Just unhook the 4-pin connector inside the box so the compressor doesn't run.

I was thinking you needed a module to trick out the computer, but that's on newer RRs.

On yours, you just disconnect the EAS computer under the passenger seat, and pull its relay (there are 3 down there, and I don't remember how to tell which is EAS) and the lights will be off, and the compressor won't run. Don't worry about unplugging it inside the EAS box on the frame rail under the RHR door.
