I just started having an issue in the morning and/or when the car sits in cold weather for a while. It starts up fine, but the charging (little battery) light stays on, and the tach does not function. After 5-7 minutes of driving, both with start working. They will also both start working if the revs get to 2700rpm+.
I took it to the dealer, and they said its the 2 gauge wiring I used from the battery to the fuse box, and from the fuse box from the alternator, saying it has too much resistence when its cold. All ends are soldered on, crimped, and completely sealed, so it makes me doubtful that is it. Connected to Optima battery.
Any other suggestions? I believe I still have the stock wiring and might take the time to hook it up, but want to make sure there isnt something else that would take out charging system and tach at the same time.
