Check Engine fault code 48

My check engine light came on in my 95 D1 and I replaced the stepper motor, disconnected the wire to the code box and reconnected. Light still on and code still their. Unit runs fine.
Any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem. Check base idle and TPS. Is the truck stalling at all?

No it runs fine no change since light came on

Disconnect the battery and see if it goes out.

Reading and clearing fault codes

Is the serial link mating plug the one going to the code box under the seat ?
If so I tried that and the light and code stayed on.

Don't suppose that osmosis will work this time, then If you disconnect your battery, the CEL should go out. Good luck.

Check Engine light went out, Code 48 gone,
but a Code 20 showed up. ????

I wouldn't worry about it. Since there's no code listed for that number, I'd let it go. Any snow up there yet?
