I asked him about the 3500lb winch, and if it was an ATV winch, he said:

I bought it at local store for about 400, the big winches cost over 1,000 and i did not and do not have that much money to put in it.
it is still quite strong. if you wrap it around a big tree, it will shred the bark to the wood.[/FONT]

I've been on flea-bay and CL religiously looking for a replacement for Mennis the Red Submarine. That 3500# winch made me chuckle. It's too bad that the one on Colorado is so far from me. It looked okay for $1100 plus change.

No mate not dead. I just left the States for a bit. i'm back for a bit. I just got married last Monday and my son (Nigel) should arrive sometime round the end of Nov. I bought a house and a little land in Burlington. I think I'm going to go back to school......who knows
