Chronic Wasting Disease in N.Y.S.

N.Y.S. dec has found there first White Tail with chronic wasting disease.
This is a total bummer for me im not sure how this will affect Deer season in 05.
one thing im sure of is long lines at the check points.
does anyone know the specifics of this disease, i mean can i still eat the meat?
You westies should know as i think you have been dealing with it for a while.
