I just installed a jeep cj, logo free, rear seat. I tried to upload some pics, but they are too big. I read were a few fellas wanted some pics. Just send me an email. :victory:

Not real sure about the years, I know mine was from a 75'. I just emailed the guy and made sure of the width. Most are 36" up until the most recent models.

I put a CJ seat in the back of my 109. It was a new seat from Bestop, purchased through a local shop, it even came out cheaper than JC Wittless. It is the fold-n-tumble variety, and has proven indespensible! If I really need the space, just pull two pins, it comes right out, and I can leave it at home or pack it back in where ever it fits. Here is a pic:

I used the provided mounts, with a 1/2" spacer beneath the front to make it feel comfortable. The rear latch mounts (attach to the side of the wheel box) are asymetrical, so I could swap them side-to-side and gain ~1" at the rear, then add another inch to the front to keep the same incline.

I only have lap belts now, which are fine for harness-type child seats. But I plan to install inertia shoulder belts when I do the hard top this Fall.

Regards,

Tom P.

Jamooche,

Not that I am aware of, but Mastercraft makes a two-seater, bucket-style bench seat. It is a fixed mount and high-back, and probably the safest option. However, you would lose the flexibility to quickly fold/remove the seat. Also, the Mastercraft bolts to the floor only, with no connection to the side wheel boxes. I like the mechanical connection to the wheel box sides!

I'm thinking of sourcing some headrests from the junk yard, taking the seat cover/padding off, and weld the headrest mounts to the seat frame.

Regards,
