I saw this.
Kudos to GHWB.
But, I hope he grows some back soon, his dome is too eggy to pull that look off.

You gotta be a little rounder like Widener.

Um, yeah. That's great.

Except that we're (or were??) a constitutional republic, not a democracy.

That's akin to Senator Schumer not being able to recall the three branches of government off the top of his head.

Posting a link from Russia Today quoting one of the worst presidents in the modern era about something totally unrelated...awesome.

41 was one of our better presidents, and certainly one of the best men to take the office. Carter, not so much.

Two words term limits. If you have not done shit in more then ten years it's time for you to go. Most people who have a job if they never showed up for work would be fired why are these turds given a pass.

I'll give him some credit for the Camp David Accords.

And for contributing to the shitty economy that caused my dad to be laid off for almost two years. That was a stellar time in the Ivie household.

Highlights from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Carter#Presidency

"Carter attempted to calm various conflicts around the world, most visibly in the Middle East with the signing of the Camp David Accords; giving back the Panama Canal; and signing the SALT II nuclear arms reduction treaty with Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev."

"He encouraged energy conservation by all U.S. citizens and installed solar water heating panels on the White House.[48][49] He wore sweaters to offset turning down the heat in the White House."

"EPA Love Canal Superfund
In 1978, Carter declared a federal emergency in the neighborhood of Love Canal in the city of Niagara Falls, New York. More than 800 families were evacuated from the neighborhood, which was built on top of a toxic waste landfill. The Superfund law was created in response to the situation. Federal disaster money was appropriated to demolish the approximately 500 houses, the 99th Street School, and the 93rd Street School, which were built on top of the dump"

"During 1979, Carter deregulated the American beer industry by opening access of the home-brew market to the craft brewers," (my personal favorite - we owe craft beer and homebrewing to President Carter!)

"The Airline Deregulation Act (Pub.L. 95–504) ... remove government control over fares, routes and market entry (of new airlines) from commercial aviation."

...and he's never afraid to speak the Truth, whatever the consequences.

I don't think that he's a bad person. He is horribly biased against Israel, though. Is that The Truth™ to which you're referring? And he is a pretty good Sunday school teacher, per a classmate of mine. And I reckon that he can drive a nail.

He's not a bad person. But he was a poor POTUS.

Everyone knows that was just so his Alcoholic brother could promote his "Billy Beer"

This...

A common refrain is he is a truly good person.

Who was an awful president. All that wiki can't make up for 444 days of humiliation alone, all else aside.

There are quite a number of good people out there. That doesn't make them presidential material.

Yup.
