Without pulling the radiator on my 97 D1. Is there a way to clean between the radiator and AC bits?
There might be, but pulling the radiator will be faster I'd wager. I've done it 3 times in the same day (don't ask) and it's no biggie.
I was able to get a water hose in the same area.
I did not move the radiator. I was able to spray from the front of the truck by removing the plastic grill.
Use a hose in the rad fill and siphon into clean containers. You'll recover most of it and can reuse it if it's fresh.Really trying to avoid draining coolant. Sick of making a mess!
This may depend on what attachments you have in order to get some high pressure water in that area to clear out mud etc. I did this years ago and had to remove leaves, a mouse nest, and a bunch of mud.All of my buildup of debris is behind the AC stuff, wedged between it and the rad. I don’t think coming in from the front is possible
this. 1/2" OD clear hose that is long enough to get to the bottom of the radiator and, up over the grill, and down into a clean bucket. You'll get 80-90% of the coolant out that way. Easily re-usable (if appropriate).Use a hose in the rad fill and siphon into clean containers. You'll recover most of it and can reuse it if it's fresh.
