Should post that contain "sold/no longer being sold" vehicles be deleted?

I get tired of reading through "For Sale" threads and getting excited only find that the seller has already sold the vehicle or decided against selling.

I vote for the Moderators to scour and delete. Just a suggestion, but I'm wondering how the rest of us feel towards this?

For Sale section is my favorite part of the board. Many threads with trucks that have been sold (usually sold someplace other than DWeb) still prove to be very entertaining, IMO.

Perhaps after they are sold, to lock the thread... I like sometimes going back to see old for sale ads to see how much $ they are getting for them.

yeah, this is a good suggestion. Something to identify the thread.

I also agree with that, as well as putting sold on the last thread, or thread title.

I think that all the for sale threads should remain editable so the seller can mark things sold so you don't have to read the whole thread to find out. That way a seller could keep his thread fresh by adding or subtracting items as the came available or sold

They are good for seeing what other trucks sold for... it's not exactly like KBB is even close on a modded Disco.

Heck, I even just searched back to my post when I sold my Mom's DII, because she needed the approximate mileage for taxes.

It WOULD be great if you could edit your title, though.

I agree with locking the thread. Maybe even send it to a searchable archive. It's helpful when you see what a truck you're interested in is actually selling for.
