Yep. Get a warranty if you do not have one. They actually lent me a LR2 because they wanted to make sure it was going to start alright in the morning. This is above and beyond the extended warranty terms. LR Albuquerque are top notch. They have made all right and made sure it happens correctly.

If it's $850 at the dealer, that means you could get it for like 6-bucks somewhere else.

Fair enough... The independent would charge about the same because he gets parts from the dealer, so it is fun when I need to do something locally. It goes like this:

D2 steering box actual conversation with independent:
"It will be 1200 bucks"
"What?"
"The steering box comes rebuilt from the dealer"
"Let me get one from Will and I will get back to you."
"OK."

My warranty is out in December and I am scared... I guess I willtry Rob at SW.

You could get an extended warranty. I take ours in for any-and-everything.

You are planning to get the warranty right? Do some research though, not all are equal as you may know.

With the discos, I think a good independent and no warranty was fine, considering I took the 96 disco to over 200,000 so far and most of what needed to be replaced was well after the 100k mark, I'm not so sure the lr3's will be as good, but then again I was told I had a "good one" on my 96 disco.
