well, i was driving home last night and as i'm driving down the street i noticed a constant clunking coming from my drive train. It's manual transmission and notice i get the clunking when i'm coasting along and starts from about 2500 rpms. Clucking in in first, second and thrid gear. Due to wind noise when i stick my head out i can't hear it in forth or fifth. when I have the clutch in the cluck goes away. Almost sounds like something is rubbing on the U joint.
Crawled under it and started looking around quick and saw nothing out of ordinary. Started to tug and pull in the drive shaft and seems fine.
Problem is that since it only happens when i drive, i can't really crawl under it to see what going on.
Any suggestions?
take care
