Code 48 again

I few weeks ago I wrote about having hard start/fuel pressure issuse (it also idled high with a code 48 thrown.) Now I am getting it again. It still idles high on start sometimes as much as 1800 ish and others like 1500ish. Now what? Code 48 is the base idle code. It also points at the speed sensor. Its a '94 DI with about 133k on her.

I had the same problem.. I was getting code 14 (CTS) and then 48 (base Idle)

What I did... replaced coolant temp sensor and stepper motor, then adjusted the base idle a few times and reset the code reader numerous... I finally cleared all codes and got it idling where it needs to be..
also, each time I adjusted the base idle, I would drive around the block and then reset, eventually everything cleared..
