I got a little too rowdy in mud that was just a bit deeper than I first estimated and got mud into everything.

To begin with the truck would not run at all (2002 D2) as an emergency fix I walked to a nearby gas station and bought their rubbing alcohol and cue tips and took apart the air box and maf sensor - It was covered in dried eastern washington mud - got it as clean as I could and the truck was running again.

A couple of days later the truck threw the CEL.

I took it to Schucks today and checked the codes, I have 6.

p0102-Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input
P0171 System too Lean (Bank 1)
P0174 System too Lean (Bank 2)
P0733 Gear 3 Incorrect ratio
P0734 Gear 4 Incorrect ratio
p1884-

From what I've read here, people have replaced o2 sensors and all sorts of things - but I've also seen the recommendation to begin by replacing the MAF sensor...

Is this still the consensus? It's seem like the easiest place to start.

I'd lean towards the MAF since you are showing both banks, I was showing 1 bank replaced o2's and a MAF when I think it was just the 02. I found some 02's that were used and switched them out to narrow it down to them, worked for me, unlikely but you may want to spray the o2 plugs out with an electrical cleaner.

I did the same thing once - tried cleaning the MAF to no avail. In fact, everything just seemed to make it worse. But fortunately it was under warrantee so they changed it for a new one for me.

If you're going to make a habit of this kind of driving (as I did!), put in a snorkel, it will keep the crap off the thing completely.

Be happy though, if you didn't have that sensor, you could potentially be buying a new engine block right now.

Too lean codes are sometimes rated to having unmetered air enter the throttle body. You may have forgotten to latch the airbox cover
