 Who make the best replacement tank, mine is starting to leak? I have looked in DAP, Rovers North and Rover Connection but they look like the same thing and I do not want this to happen again. TIA

Why is it leaking and where is it leaking from? Doesn't sound like a regular item that would go bad, so I would probably just replace with a genuine one.

I have heard of several people with the overflow tank leaking. It leaks around the seam of the oupper and lower halves. Most of the tanks I know of are 1 piece units. There was a clear or white replacement for this but I can not find it and I think it was one piece. Yes, I will use genuine if I can not find it. Thanks

Mine is doing the same thing, leaking around the seams. I was looking into getting a replacement universal one from summit/etc, but just decided to get a genuine.

It's actually an expansion tank on the D1, the genuine one is a clear replacement (well, it was on my 98)

Make sure its the tank....you may find if the levels are too high in the tank, the fluid seeps through the lid and ends up on the tank....as me how I know. The correct level in the overflow is down lower than you think. Look in the tank for the X piece sticking up. My guess is the expansion at higher elevations is more, therefore, you may get some coming out. Just an FYI, also, if it makes you feel better replace it, but if you have coolant again, check the levels.
