Kinda stumped on this. I went camping and wheeling this weekend. Truck worked perfectly. Got up early Sunday to head home. I drove 1000 ft to the gas station from camp. Shut the truck off while I fueled up. Then drove 50ft over to the air pump to top off my tires. Left the truck running. As Im filling the tires I see liquid dripping off the frame rails. I shut the truck off. Checked the coolant and the reservoir was almost empty and the tank itself was soaked. I cleaned it all up. Filled the tank as it was running. Bled the system and checked for leaks. It didnt leak after 15min. Not only that but the temps were 4-5 cooler than before. ( Im running a 170 inline tstat). Drove 2hrs home stopping every so often to check. It didn't leak again and the temps stayed cooler than before even down the highway.

Was it an air pocket? I thought head gasket but it ran cooler than before? What else would have caused this?
