Just replaced all coolant hoses and thermostat noticed temp gauge was not in normal spot. Hooked up my scanner and temp was at 226 drove about 20 miles on interstate it rose to 243 after being at 232 for most of the way.and I pulled off cooled down drove 3 miles on a back road down to 217, got back on interstate stayed around 230. First time I pulled off had a little spray from the bleed screw on the T tightend it up.

Just normal driving I do have a roof top tent has been on for a month no rise in temp. It's around 80-85 today. No issues in the morning when it was cooler.

Thanks

After losing some coolant and adding air to system you need to service and bleed cooling system for starters.

Ya do this for sure as a first step. Let it idle with the cap off the reservoir and look for a steady stream of coolant coming from near the opening pointing down at a slight angle into the reservoir. If you don't have a steady stream then more than likely it has air in it.

buddy was experiencing the same with his 04 recently. He had air in the system from a loose lower hose clamp. He bled the system as was back to normal temps.
