Basically a lot quieter than BFG AT's that I had on my Freelander (which actually performed well enough that I could keep up with full sized LRs back when I had them about 95% of the time).

Steve? Is that you?

Hey Tugela:

Where exactly do you go driving in MI? Where is this trail of which you speak?

Hey, just near Westbranch, there are a few state trails in that area (maybe slightly west from there). I've run a few trails over near the dunes by Silver Lake as well (which has some sand dunes some of which are over 100'). That part of the state has Manistee National forest to play in.

Didn't you hail from around here at one time?

Cool, I haven't visited that forest although I did go to Scout camp near Grayling. I'm more familiar with the Manistee on the Lake Michigan coast. I lived in Michigan for 10 years (E. Lansing, A2), off and on, while growing up but never went off-roading. I don't think my parents' Ford Taurus would have done so well. It's good to know there are some trail options should I find the opportunity to check them out on a future visit.
