2002 Discovery.
Was receiving a consistant OBD code for the CPS. Was told it was the wiring/connector by a land rover shop. Spliced a new wire into the wiring loom and used an aftermarket connector. Wouldn't start after that. Brought it back to the shop and they said the CPS wasn't receiving a signal but they didn't want to deal with splicing a new wire in so they said they would only replace the entire engine harness. Had it towed to a new shop that specializes in auto electronics. They said they are not receiving a signal from the computer although when the key is in the off position they receive a faint signal. He said that means that it is wired correctly and that it is the computer. My guess would have been the wiring was somehow wrong although I was very careful. Any thoughts?
