Had a new cam gear break off the lock into the camshaft when torquing it down. Thankfully the chain seemed loose so I removed it. That’s when I noticed it. Threw that Chinese garbage in the trash and reused the old gears (215k) and the Morse chain on it, that was replaced at some point. I also bought a used set of gears as a back up. When I did the HG on my p38 I used the chain (made in Mexico) from the kit and the old gears from the 4.6. Unless the gears are shot, I’ll reuse them or replace with old OEM gears. The current aftermarket gears are garbage.
