Crank with no start.

Drove 1.5 miles Monday AM, no issues, left car idling 3 minutes while I ran inside. Was not running when I came back out. Cranks the full 10-15 seconds with no fire. Fan clutch turns, so starter is engaging.

Had a new battery for dual battery setup, swapped no change. Swapped spare BNIB crank sensor, no change. Assumed fuel issue, but pump runs with jumper in relay. Relay swapped and checked on multimeter. Relays good. Won't start up on starter fluid so I'm guessing no spark, though I have not pulled a plug to confirm.

No codes shown on Gap Tool. Live values read fine to me, but maybe I'm missing something to check. ECU seems to have communication still as I can access CCF-reflash, pull ECU software info, read live values..

Checked both old and new crank sensor on multimeter, both read good. Tracing crank sensor wiring next, but I think based on the multimeter (that I'm terrible with) wiring is good.

No previous misfire codes or rough running before this. Ran great to be honest.

What else can cause a crank with no start? What else should I be checking?

Well, I do have spark. Pulled #2 coil and it sparked a few times while cranking.

Back to fuel, will see if it runs with jumper in place of fuel pump relay, then check fuel pressure after. No Schrader on rail it looks like, so splice a gauge in between rail and line it looks like.

I did notice on the gap tool, there is a value for fuel cut-off. It states ON but flips to OFF briefly when cranking but back to ON before it finishes cranking. I'm assuming it would stay on OFF if the engine fired, but I haven't watched this data value when running before.

Any other suggestions of things to check?

You ever just so sure you're not stupid but then while you're swapping the fuel pump you say "boy this tank is lighter than I thought it'd be."

Yeah well who knows if it needed a pump or I'm an idiot. But we're running again.

There was gas in the tank, but I definitely thought there was more than I found.

My dash is on the fritz and haven't sent it out to clusterfix yet, so sometimes it runs dark for a few days. Thought I had like 3/4 tank. Maybe a 2 gallons in there when I dropped it.

I just had my cluster fixed by Maic Salazar Diagnostics in Virginia since I’m east coast
