Ok folks, here's the story, and you tell me what you think has happened. Couple of weeks ago, I parked the 97 Disco after driving about 280 miles to a job site, and returning home. No issues, no problems, no bumps, jars, nothing. Next morning I go to take the boys to school and the truck won't start. Got it over to Ed's Rover Shop today, and we checked for all the standard stuff: good fuel pressure (not the pump), no spark, maybe the Crankshaft Position Sensor. So Kenny crawls under the truck, and pulls out the sensor. Instead of being straight (like a sensor) it is bent at a 90 degree angle. UH OH!! Inside, on the flywheel (gets a little fuzzy to me here), there is a gizmo attached to the flywheel that the CPS apparently senses as the truck starts and then monitors the running motor. Kenny can feel the piece and it is loose. So I call Will Tillery and he is sending a new flywheel to me so they can put it on. Anyone EVER heard of this happening and what do you think could have caused it. I am at a loss, since I never heard any noise or anything. thanks in advance...
