Okay, this may be the lamest post ever but I need something, I drink coffee in the mornings and I have not seen anything for the RRC. I have a cheapy windowhager unit that looks like butt. Anyone make anything quasi-stable, or am I out of luck?

On my 88 Rangie, I removed my dash clock and mounted this folding cupholder in it's place. I used a piece of 1/4" plywood behind the clock opening in the dash, and basically 'sandwitched' the dash between the cupholder and the plywood. (I ran my screws through the spot where the clock used to be, so as to not screw into the dash.)

I'm heading out of town till Friday.. I can nab some photos of my setup on Friday if you'd like to see it.

Hey Chuck

I bought 2 of the D2 style cup holders ... I have only installed one so if you want the other one let me know. They are tan.

I'll take the other for the DII, but I need grey for the Rangie.
Thanks to all, I was not aware the DII cups would fit. :D

The new DII holders come in grey too. The dealer sells 'em in pairs but other places sell 'em individually if you only need one.

It's funny, they're all over ebay and folks are paying like $70-$80 there(one pair)...EE has them for $55 a pair.

I bought mine a couple years ago over the phone from Solon Land Rover for about $50.

Personally, I'd rather give EE my money (didn't know about them back then).

spare Tuffy cupholders

Got a 1990 RRC, used a spare Tuffy cup holder and screwed it to the rear of the stock center console.
I can reach it, the rear seat passengers can reach it. Lowered it a bit to allow for the lid to open all the way: works great.
Yea, had to screw into the console, but having the cupholders was worth it.

It's the little conveniences that make life better. I had to slightly shim them so they wouldn't lean. I just trimmed a piece of cardboard to wedge between the cupholder and the transmission tunnel. You will understand as soon as you mount it.

I thought I was the only one who used the expression "looks like butt". Glad to know I'm not alone.
