Just built some custom bump stop mounts to run Timbren Aeons. They compress over half the original height. Haven't done much testing yet, but they should allow my truck to support weight better, and most of all take away the harsh sudden stop of the stock solid rubber bump stops.

Figured I'd show off some pictures and see what you guys think?

Looks good, let's see how they last...you'd be amazed how easily some extended rubber or poly bumps get destroyed...

Wow those do look good. But like Mongo said, eager to see how they hold up. If they perform well id be in for a set if youre interested

Yeah, I should be able to make some more. Maybe even provide the Timbrens too. I personally haven't read or heard anything bad about the Timbren bumpstops. Maybe that's why they are much more expensive than a lot of the other bumpstops out there.

Nothing to do with the brand, everything to do with the the fact the axle doesn't travel in a straight line

No shit. One day of wheeling and these guys had thrown in the towel. I sent them back to Amazon and got my money back.

Well those are obviously a much different design of bump stop and a terrible looking one too in my opinion. But yeah, time will tell how they hold up.

Hydraulic would be best, but they are much more expensive and not as easy to install. Hoping the timbrens will give a similar result with the high speed impacts.

light racing jounce shocks will bolt right up to the stock bracket, same basic idea as your's...or you can fit them in the spring...

Do you loose up-travel from stock?

Hell if I know, I'm sure your setup is different from mine, and I know mine is different from Frank's.
Again, a lot is going to depend on lift size and tire size. You just want to make sure you don't get a 19" compressed shock length when all you can fit is a 17" compressed shock length.

I'm referring to his photo. The custom one is much taller, thus possibly reducing up-travel, unless it brings it to a stop at the same point but over a longer distance.
