Does anyone know anyone that makes custom tire covers? I'm looking to get a tire cover made for my DII with 265 75 16. Would like a design similar to what Bill Burke runs on the back of his defender, with a zip compartment on the outside to store recovery stuff.

Side of the road....
I'm sure if you can come up with the design and articulate what you need you should be able to find a sew shop that can sew it up for you. After all, it's not exactly 'rocket surgery' they would be performing. Now, you may have to source the materials, but a quick surf of the internet and you should be able to find the material as well.

Good call. Will check out some of the local boat canvas shop here in VA. Hopefully they can put together something for me. Anyone else interested if I can get something like this put together?

Exactly like the Rover's North one. The only thing I would change would be the RHino, and adding a basic locking zipper, so I could put a small lock on it.

Yeah, BB4WA gave me the contact info for Boomco, and I already emailed them. THey are the one's that made one for Bill.

Thanks for all of the input.

Why do people buy tire covers? It is always to see the jeepers with thier 35" swampers and long arm suspensions with the homo "its a jeep thing" cover on thier stock spare.

Thanks for the intellectual discourse..

However, to answer your rhetorical question, the idea of having recovery gear readily accessible without opening the back door appeals to me.
