The previous owner of my '94 D1 didn't install the alternator properly, so I'd like to confirm the correct wiring:

Counterclockwise from the large B+ terminal, I see three more terminals, labeled D, W, and S. The high-current lead is connected to B+, but there are two other wires I need to connect -- one yellow/brown and one white/gray. Which wire should be connected to which terminal?

Solved this. Yellow/brown wire goes to D, and white/gray (with spade lug connector) goes to W. When it's connected like this, the charging-circuit warning lamp stays off, and the tachometer works.

The S terminal is apparently unused.
