Are there any items from a D2 Interior that will fit a D1. I have found a D2 at a local scrap yard and the guy is willing to give me a pretty good deal on it. Mine is a 98 D1, the one at the scrap yard is an 02 D2. I would really like to change the front seats out, and the back storage bins. The Headliner was in pretty good shape also. Will any of those fit?
Thanks

You can probably make just about any seats fit if you can weld. A friend of mine has an old set of Acura RSX seats in his D1. Those things are waaaaaaaay comfortable.

The center facsia cover will fit ( The one with the radio and AC controls ) You will get a few etc non working buttons though like HDC and center door lock. I just swapped one into a friends 96's D1 from a 02.

I think, not sure the center console where the gear lever is till the cubby might fit.

Other than that I can't think of anything else that might fit.

there are a lot of bits that are interchangeable, take it from me. The seats will work but do require quite a bit of fabrication. I doubt the rear bins will fit due to the fact that the d2 is longer in the rear same goes for the headliner due to the length and the windshield height. If you headliner is bad one of the best fixes is to pull it, clean off the foam with a wire brush and paint it. It looks factory. The center switches, clocks, dash switched are all interchangeable. I have the center bank switches in mine and that is what controls my front fogs, rack fogs, and rear fogs. I have also installed the late d2 headlights and the rear tail light sections from a d2. Good luck!

there is also a really cool switch combo in late range rover classics it is located on the driver side bottom of the center switch panel. It contains two arrows that are momentary and one in the center. I used it in my disco for in cab winch control. I will take a pic.
