For posterity, the connector of the D1 (NAS? mine is a 1996 D1 NAS) audio amp is reference CET1809 on this website: https://connectorexperts.com/i-31643962-cet1809.html?ref=category:1458530 which was helpful finding a connector based on its pin (aka "cavities"). Now.... at $100, I'll be looking for an alternative but that was not the purpose of this post (I want to find the female portion of that connector! ;) ).

Further research took me to a different identification web site that shows who is the manufacturer of the connector (in this case TE) with the manufacturer part number (I don't know that yet as of this writing because I have not measure the pitch of the connector).... https://connectorbook.com/identification.html (granted, not as easy to use as connectorexperts!) shows that you can get that connector from Digikey (and for about $2 + shipping).

Hopefully TE will provide a part number for the female part of that connector once I measured its pitch so I get the male part number! :)

Latest update, cable side connector: TE part number 173863-1 (the "-1" means natural/white color, other color available) https://www.te.com/commerce/Documen...Nm=173853&DocType=Customer+Drawing&DocLang=JP
The contacts/pins are 173630 and 173631 (depending on what gauge wire you want to crimp, the contact/pin itself is the same)

amp side/receptable/female connector: TE 173862-1 this is an electronic board connector (i.e. integrated with PINs and bent at 90 degrees): https://www.newark.com/amp-te-conne...3784638316391543620394552122646878&CMP=AFC-OP
