This should be a simple and short thread...

I need to remove my front left fender for some work and have a question regarding the inside wheel arch fittings (see pictures). The workshop manual makes no mention of removal of these when removing a fender. From a separate bodywork item and the Haynes manual it seems that I would simply pop out ("prise") the center section of the fitting, then remove the outer plastic piece of the fitting. Is that all there is to do? Just want to check before I start breaking pieces which I didn't have the forthought to purchase replacements for...

Thats correct. If you can get to the inside you can push the centre pin that way.

If they are the originals then most likely you will break some of them. It's plastic and should have been designed better. I think the dealer has packs fo these for cheap. I removed that liner and now only 5 or 6 hold it back in place.

I have a D1-97 and I removed my driver-side fender without having to mess with the inside fender molds. The other day I did remove the inside fender to re-apply some sealant around my snorkel and the plastic pop-rivets came out easily and nothing broke. These are 2-part rivets.
