Hitting the trails soon and feel I need a little protection up front. A skid plate seems like a good start. Then dif covers...

I'd start w diff covers personally. They are the most vulnerable. HD steering bars from Terrafirma are cheaper than the skid plate. And they come with new serviceable tie rods.

X2 skid plates are over rated and don't really protect much. Diff guards are much more important since they are the lowest point under the truck and only thin sheet metal.

Diff guards and hd steering rods are a good start, eventually down the line you'll want to get to the trailing arms.

agreed. but i've got a stout steering skid plate i'll be looking to get rid of. believe its a southdown. its been used heavily. its got some dings. but its rock solid. uses existing bumper mounting holes. little rattlecan love and it'll look brand used.

lemme know if you're interested-shipping would be on you though (its not a lightweight).
looks like this
