Hi D-web

The hinges seemed to have sagged on my 99D1
Looking at the ones on the car, I see bolts and two
fasteners on the bottom hinge with what looks like center
supports. How to remove these and are they reusable ?

Do I tap out the center section and then remove?
Thanks in advance Steve

Those are rivets, and non-reusable. I resorted to an angle grinder to chop them off.

Support the open door from below (stack up boxes, whatever) with enough force to raise the rear end of the truck by about quarter to half an inch. Then, work one hinge at a time.

Can you just change the wear bushing in the hinge its self? The hinge is two piece with a center pin that can be removed to separate the two halves. most alignment issues I have seen have been from the bushing being worn in the hinge. Do you know of a replacement?

Not sure - I have not tried that because my hinges were bent and not worth saving. I don't remember the cost of both rear door hinges (they were not cheap), but the quality of replacement hinges (from lrdirect.com) was far better than factory. I am sure these will outlast the truck.

With the door closed pound out the pin. Get a bolt. Ream out the hinge to fit the bolt. Install the bolt and enjoy a tight hinge.
