Ok so my 95' D1 with the 3.9L has a starting problem , found a lot of corrosion on the starter end of the positive cable coming from the battery after cleaning it started no problem 3 times in a row ,I forgot that the battery was connected and when I put a wrench it spark and after that it wouldn't start , so I had a spare new starter from my 98 D1 and swap it , re-connected everything the way it was and nothing won't start , I have 12.5v at the battery , I have 12v going to the starter from the battery with that 1/2 inch nut ,I have 12v at the starter fuse when I turn the key , but the cable going to starter solenoid is dead no voltage as the key is being turned nothing , I was looking for the starter relay that is by the driver left foot side panel , there are 5 relays not marked I took 4 relays out of my 98 D1 (only 4 in total in 98) and swapped and nothing no go , here is a pic of the relays maybe someone knows witch one is the starter.
As a test if I get a single wire going from the 1/2 nut at the starter 9( that I know is hot) to the clip at the starter solenoid it should start right??

Ideas are welcome thanks .

I thought the relay was on the passenger footwell.

Can you hear anything click when you turn the key?

try it in neutral and park?
