d1 tire change kit the same as d2 tire change kit?

does anyone know if the discovery 1 tire change kit (located under the back seat) is the same as the discovery 2 tire change kit? (i think it's located in the rear door storage compartment on d2)

i have the discovery 1 jack under the hood, but am missing the actual (bag of tools) jack handle kit & was wondering if it matters whether i purchase a (used) discovery 1 kit or discovery 2 kit. Basically i'd like to know if they are interchangeable or if the kits are specific to d1 and d2 vehicles. thanks!!

I think the handles are interchangabe since the jacks might be the same. All thats in my DII bag are 2 wheel chocks, the handles, and the lug wrench. I dont know what is in a DI's. The lug wrench might be different size but i dont know.

It doesn't matter. The jacks are the same, the jack handles are the same, the lug nuts are the same, the lug wrenches are the same.

The lug wrench for a D1 won't fit a D2 and visa versa.

Yes. DI and DII lugs are different sizes. Everything else in the kit will work.

I would recomend you also get a 1 1/16 socket and the bar to use it, so you can use some leverage, I tried to remove the lugs from my 96 Disco, and it was a B***, the bar from the kit bent,it was only possible with an impact air rench, now it is easier, and just in case I also bought the X bar with a 1 1/16 end, and it works
