The windshield trim on my D1 is getting a bit tired. I know these finishers are typically replaced during install of a windshield, but can they be replaced while leaving the windshield installed? The A pillar finishers are in the worst condition of all the moldings.

Not really sure what you are asking but they have nothing to do with sealing the windshield. The old ones will get damaged when the new windshield is installed but you can add new ones any time after.
That's helpful. I was worried they impacted sealing and had adhesive applied during install. For reference the finishers I was referring to are shown in this video:
