The windshield installer would use urethene to seal the windshield and moldings.

If the windshield is leaking, it is not the moldings they are just there to finish the installation cosmetically. The windshield is glued in around the perimeter with urethene adheasive. If there is a leak, you mght try removing the inside A-pillar moldings and re-sealing from the inside (or take it to a windshield installer, it is probably well worth the money to have it sealed).

ive always had luck with black RTV sealant. You could try regualr windshield adhesive, but thats nasty crap. Plus the RTV sealant is a lot cheaper.

while you are at it , you may consider running some wires up in there for fog lights on a roof rack

Your best bet is to go to auto glass shop and
let them find the leak and stop it..
RTV is not made to seal glass to body.
Urethene is the best for this, but this is a rover
so it my have some rust so it wood be a timp fix.
have done right the first time.
I warranity my work for has long as owen the car and
so do most other glass shops.
