Pics, thoughts, opinions please.

Im about to order 15x7 GCR steelies and 33x10.50 BFG MTs (Wish GY MTRs came in this size). But, would like to explore the 33x12.50 and how they fit and function on a properly modified D1 before I drop the cash. Im utilizing the RTE 3" springs with 1" spacers, extended links and arms, DC shafts, etc. etc. Oh, and RTE front and rear bumpers.

I really like the thought of a 33x12.5 GY MTRs, but think they may be too wide and might require too much butchery to the wheel wells
Thanks.

I searched and found your thread which seemed to concentrate more on flares than the tire fitment. That was all I came up with. What did you decide on?

Also, depending on what type of wheeling you are doing, a narrow tire might give better traction. In one of the recent threads there is a link to a website with a more in depth explanation...

10.50's on GCR wheels require slight inner fender trimming.
when flexing it's ok, but when both wheels stuff at the same time, you will rub the fenders a bit.

12.50's rub a lot more and require quite a bit of trimming.

According to Pontiac... wider is better

Lol... go drive a pontiac, they handle like shopping carts

I'de go with the 10.50's, less triming (as mentioned), maybe better mpg (like that really matters anyway).
