D2 brake lights on all the time

D2 brake lights on all the time - FIXED

D2 brake lights stay on all the time, the brake pedal stops about 1/8" short of touching the switch post. I can stick my finger in and turn off the lights, but that's not going to be safe driving
The brake pedal is at it's upper limit, can't pull it back any more than it is.
I did pull the plunger on the switch as it says in the workshop manual, but nothing happened. Pull harder?
I did replace the servo and master cylinder - maybe I put something back wrong?

Fixed - took the switch out and gave the plunger a good pull with pliers. It popped out about 1/2" with a lot of ratcheting noise. I depressed the brake pedal and then put the switch back in the bracket, let the brake pedal go and there was some more ratcheting noise. Works as it should now, just needed a reset.
