Disco on the left, DII in the middle, P38 on the right. I better float now, well as soon as I fix the holes in the floor.
So looking at this picture the P38's may be even better? Are they a fit for the door frames front a rear?

I like the 'uncompressed' idea. Makes a lot of sense.Somerhing i do to preserve seals a light film of vasoline and leave all your doors and sunroofs cracked if its not a daily driver and just sits, just watch out for mice getting into the ac ductwork i had that one time and it sucked.
Keeping the seals uncompressed keeps them fluffed and a little longer life span

I use Gummi Pfledge, it's a product called for in the older BMW technical manuals, recommended for convertible top seal function. it absorbs into the rubber and keeps it pliable. The bottle based sponge applicator is garbage so I just use a small disposable foam brush.I like the 'uncompressed' idea. Makes a lot of sense.
I am a bit surprised about the Vasoline idea. I would expect Vasoline, being a petroleum based product, to degrade the rubber in the seals over time.
