I've reached the point where there is more Gorilla brand duct tape covering my plastic front bumper than there is front bumper to cover. A few years ago my wife was rear-ended by a pickup traveling at a pretty good clip, and I used that as an opportunity to replace the rear bumper with a heavy duty steel job.

Now I want to replace the front bumper, and would like opinions on what is available. I use a british 'discreet' winch mount (takes the place of the brace across the front rails) if that impacts my choice.

Thanks for any help,

Oh, the rear bumper I put on (back in '07, doesn't seem that long ago) was made by Greg Davis. Don't know if he is still around, but the bumper will be around forever as it is extremely well made.

I'd like a 'slim' type front bumper, nothing huge / heavy / obnoxious if you know what I mean.

Check out the TerraFirma front bumper, good price, discreet but not too tiny, doesn't stick way out, good strong hooks, and spot for a winch to hide.

The TerraFirma bumper has the best mix of value/quality/looks. I'll be picking one up shortly as I have the same "Gorilla Tape" problem that you do. The BritPart bumper looks similar, but in the words of their own vendor - "the TerraFirma bumper is superior in every way".

Miami British currently has the bumper + swivel eyes and washer guard for $825 shipped, which seems like a good deal. If you opt not to use swivel eyes the price goes down to $750 shipped.

I would check with Justin at Lucky 8 for the TerraFirma.
That's where I got mine, very happy with the price. The price used to be incorrect on the site, not sure if it's correct now.
