D2 Greg Davis Bumper - fender trimming??

Ok, ready for the big step of trimming the fenders, and want to make sure I don't screw it up too badly, so a couple questions:

1) Tracing the line under the plastic trim pieces - can I assume there has to be a little square cut where the plastic piece for the screw sticks down below the line traced under the trim piece?

2) What is the best way to make the cut - saber saw (with a sheet metal blade) or cut-off wheel on a small angle grinder, or both?

Any help will be appreciated, I'm a little nervous about this step...

John, you will loose that little screw. Otherwise, the bumper will not fit flush along the bottom of the trim piece.

I used a jig saw with a fine tooth metal blade. Put tape on the bottom of the guide so you don't scratch your paint.

Hope this helps.

OK, I'll ignore the small tab for the pad as well as the screw tab, guess that means cutting the fender just above the plastic screw insert. Thanks,
