So...my truck and everything was running and working just fine, but now it won't crank. I turn the key and nothing happens. The security LED on the dash is solid and NOT flashing. Almost everything I have read says when the truck is immobilized it will flash. What does a solid light indicate? I have the EKA code and will try to reset it that way, but wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar.

I did a body swap after rolling my truck. Its been a fun process. Anyway.... I kept the ECU and BCU from my original truck. The donor truck key fob doesn't work and the door lock on the handle doesn't work. So, I put my door from my original truck (with working door lock) on the vehicle and was able to reset the security system.

Hard to explain here, but ultimately it was a security issue and the non-functioning door lock was the root of the problem.

Makes sense. The door lock cylinder has a small switch on it. That and your key fob are the only 2 inputs to dis arm.
