What is the best size tire to run?

Depends on what you want out of a tire/lift.
I have two D2s with a two inch lift and BFG M/T 265/75-16s.
They do pretty good for Iowa off roading-dirt/mud/grass/hills. But on a long road trip they don't ride/balance the best.
Just this winter, I installed a two inch lift and a set of 235/85-16 BFG A/Ts on my '98 D1. This combo is way better in the snow & ice we get here, and the ride is very good on dry paved roads.

The next set of tires I put on one of my D2s will be 235/85-16 A/T BFGs.
