I blew a belt today, which was nto fun. Any tips on putting a new one on to make it easier? Do i have to remove the fan? if so how? 2000 D2 w ACE (i know i need a specific belt but dont know if it adds any other problems other then correct routing)

Thanks

I'm getting ready to do this myself. I think routing is the key, RoversNorth has the belts if you haven't gotten one yet. I've heard it can be done without removing the fan, it's just a tight spot. This is how I was going to do it, I figure if I was able to change the plug wires without removing anything, then this should be a walk in the park.

All vehicles I have had previous to this have had the belt routing diagram under the hood on a sticker somewhere, is mine missing or do they all not have this? Whats up with that, especially as I hear there is a couple ways you can do it wrong.

no diagram. once you do it once you will be fine. it will fit more than one way, but like i said once you see it and understand the routing it is easy. the problem can be when you route over the alt pully and it does not have enough surface area to produce the friction to spin it properly.
here are the routings for the DIIs.
