D2 Rear Door Not Opening

My rear door on my 99 D2 wont open. I lubed the exterior handle, but it seems that the lock won't unlock. Any way of fixing this problem without pulling the inside panel? I'd have to basically destroy the safari box that I have built back there to get the panel off. Anyone else have this problem? Solutions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you try the inner handle? little linkages in there...weak. if the inner handle wont work, you just have to pop the inner panel off and use some pliers.
