D2 Safari fuel tank

Price drop.


33 gallon Safari fuel tank for sale. Installed it once but never put any fuel in it. Bought it new from Lucky8. It got banged up in shipping, one of the corners is dented and has the powder coating chipped off and there is a thin film of rust in it from sitting in customs for so long. I don't have time to clean it out so I cant use it.

I'm asking $300 OBO, located in Joshua Tree, CA.

is this a replacement tank (for the stock 24 gal tank) or an additional tank that mounts elsewhere?

It's a replacement for the original tank. The stock pump/sender unit are used aswell as the stock gasket. It has its own locking ring that is bolted down.

Also there is the connection for the Auxiliary tank that goes in the fender if you have it.

So how much rust is actually in the tank? Will it be possible to remove it all?

There's just surface rust on the bottom for the tank.

Nope, its mild steel.
