d2 stereo replacement, cant get radio in...

so aggravating!! its all wired and everything works. The new deck is Alpine CDE-102. I cant get the freakin thing in passed the pressure plate:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Im definitely missing something...

can anyone help me out?

make sure there's nothing getting jammed behind there. I pulled the hvac control on my d2 to pull the wiring harnesses out of the way so it would go all the way in.

Stupid question - but did you pull the OEM "cage?" I guess that's the "sleeve....."

netjaws had a pretty good setup. Just leave it in the open with everything else!

Yes I am an idiot!!! WOW after taking that out it went right in...so embarrassing.

BTW, $150 radio sounds waaaayyy better than the stock radio.
